Vibe Studio Marketing

Connecting your Google Ads account

Accepting one link request in your Google Ads account takes about two minutes. Once it is accepted, we can read your campaigns, search terms, spend and conversions, and run the monthly checks we report to you.

You keep ownership of your account, your billing and your data. No change is made to your campaigns, budgets or keywords until you have approved it, and you can remove our access at any time.

Before you start

  • Who does it

Someone with Admin access to your Google Ads account. If you are not sure who that is, the person who set the account up usually is.

  • What you need

Your Google Ads customer ID: the 10-digit number in the format 123-456-7890, shown at the top of Google Ads next to your account name.

  • Time

About two minutes, once our request has arrived.

Accept our link request (recommended)

This is the standard way an agency is given access. Your account stays yours; it is simply linked to the Vibe Studio Marketing manager account.

  1. Send us your customer ID

Reply to our email with the 10-digit number from the top of Google Ads.

  2. We send a link request

It comes from the Vibe Studio Marketing manager account, customer ID 205-388-3248. Google also emails everyone with Admin access on your account.

  3. Sign in to Google Ads

Use the Google account that has Admin access.

  4. Open Admin

Click the gear icon labelled Admin in the left-hand menu, then click Access and security.

  5. Select the Managers tab

Under “Link request” you will see the request from 205-388-3248.

  6. Click Accept

It is in the Actions column. Then follow the instructions on the page.

  7. Tell us it is done

We confirm the connection within one working day and send you a short note of what we can see.

The Accept request button in Google’s invitation email does the same as steps 3 to 6. Google’s own instructions are on its help page, Link accounts to your manager account.

Alternative: add us as a read-only user

Choose this route if you want us to see the account but not be able to edit it. A read-only user can view campaigns and run reports, but cannot edit campaigns, billing or payments, manage users, or accept or remove manager links (Google: access levels).

  1. Open Admin

Sign in with an Admin login, click Admin, then Access and security.

  2. Click the blue plus button

It opens the form to invite a new user.

  3. Enter howard@vibestudiomarketing.com

Then choose the access level Read-only.

  4. Click Send invitation

Then tell us it is sent.

On this route, any change you approve is made by you, or you can raise our access level later (Google: invite users).

What the connection reads, and who reads it

Our monthly checks run through Google’s own Google Ads connector, which is published by Google’s Google Ads team on GitHub. The version we use has three tools, and each one only retrieves information. It has no tool that can change your account.

It can readIt cannot do
Campaigns, ad groups, keywords and advertsChange campaigns, bids, budgets or keywords
Search terms and negative keywordsAdd or remove negative keywords
Spend, clicks and conversionsChange your billing or payment details
The account’s change historyAdd users or change anyone’s access

The team runs the checks, reads every result and proposes each change. No change is made to your campaigns, budgets or keywords until you have approved it.

Removing our access

You can remove our access at any time, and your campaigns keep running as they are.

  • If you accepted the link request

In Google Ads, click Admin, then Access and security, then the Managers tab. Find 205-388-3248, click Remove access in the Actions column, then Unlink (Google: unlink accounts).

  • If you added us as a user

Click Admin, then Access and security, find howard@vibestudiomarketing.com and click Remove access in the Actions column.
